Edit moods and colours

    How it works

Choose a mood in Paint with, then tap a day; tap it again with the same mood to clear it. With a mouse you can hold the button down and drag across several days. On a keyboard, move around the grid with the arrow keys, press 1 to 8 to colour the focused day with that mood, 0 or Delete to clear it, and Enter to paint with the selected mood. Squares for dates that do not exist, like 30 February, stay blank, and 29 February appears only in leap years.

    Your own scale

The default scale runs from Wonderful to Rough, but any scale works: energy levels, sleep quality, pain, or simply “good day / so-so / hard day”. Open Edit moods and colours to rename a mood, pick its colour, or have between two and eight moods. Recolouring updates every day already painted. Removing a mood clears the days that used it, and the page tells you how many first.

    Keeping and sharing it

Everything is saved in this browser’s local storage, a separate grid for each year. Download PNG makes an image of the whole year with its legend, ready for a journal page or a phone wallpaper. Print fits the grid on one portrait page.

    Questions

What if I forget a day?

Fill it in later or leave it blank. Gaps are part of the picture, and nobody else sees the grid unless you share it.

    Can I see past years?

Yes. Choose the year at the top; each year is stored separately in this browser, from 2020 to 2030.

Does a year in pixels tell me anything about my mental health?

It is a reflection tool, not an assessment. Long runs of low days are worth mentioning to a doctor or someone you trust.
